Arte Peatonal – 2024
This seventh edition of Arte Peatonal will showcase the work of established artists. They will present a variety of techniques and disciplines. All of this will be in full view of pedestrians. Once again, the intention is to create a route through the city centre to enjoy the exhibition. This effort brings art to the street. It also creates a cultural route. For four weeks, the city will transform into an art gallery. This transformation will be visible in the shop windows of participating businesses. Pedestrians can enjoy the art without leaving the pavement.
For the first time, Bilbao is also hosting the Arte Peatonal project. This is an artistic and cultural shop-window initiative. It will take place in the Ensanche and involve 22 shops in the central area. Each business will display artistic proposals created by 17 local, national and international professional artists.
A temporary exhibition featuring the work of artists displayed in shop windows in the city centres of Santander and Bilbao, Spain.
